MP 101

The Extron MP 101 AAP Microphone Preamplifier is a compact mic preamp for applications where a microphone must be connected to a line level audio input on a device such as a switcher or line level mixer. Mic level signals are boosted up to balanced or unbalanced line level signals. This preamp also allows a microphone to be connected to the Aux/Mix input on the Extron MediaLink® series of switchers.

The front panel of the MP 101 AAP features a microphone input on an XLR connector, a continuous gain control that can be concealed, and a push-button for muting the audio. The rear panel features a captive screw connector for the output, and slide switches for 48 volt phantom power for compatibility with condenser microphones, and a switchable low cut filter at 75 Hz to reduce rumble and wind noise picked up by the microphone.

The MP 101 AAP's output can be remotely controlled for microphone level adjustment by using the VCM 100 or VCM 200 Series volume and mute or VC 50 volume controllers. The MP 101 AAP can easily be mounted in any Extron product or mounting frame with an opening for a double-space AAP.
