The Extron IPL M PDP-ES is a compact Ethernet control card that installs in Pioneer Electronics plasma displays that support the Pioneer ES Expansion Solution COMM port card format. The IPL M PDP-ES features an integral Web server and enables remote, proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of the display.

The IPL M PDP-ES uses Extron's exclusive IP Link technology, a high performance intelligent network integration solution specifically engineered to meet the needs of professional AV environments, from large universities and businesses to small home installations.

In addition to an RJ-45 Ethernet connector, the IPL M PDP-ES features one 9-pin D-sub serial port that can be configured to pass through Pioneer command codes from an external control system.

GlobalViewer® Web-Based AV Resource Management Software

Extron's GlobalViewer is fully supported by the Web server built into the IPL M PDP-ES. GlobalViewer software is a free Web application with robust features including multiple room views, real-time device status, e-mail notification, and event scheduling. GlobalViewer extends the AV resource management functionality of the IPL M PDP-ES, allowing status information for multiple Pioneer plasmas to appear directly in a single GlobalViewer screen along with the data for other IP Link-enabled products.

Enables Web-based management of Pioneer plasmas — Compatible Pioneer plasmas can be turned ON or OFF from any Web browser by an administrator and scheduled for automatic powering ON and OFF daily. Users can view the real time status and current schedule for each plasma. Monitoring plasma status with intelligent sensing capabilities provides proactive maintenance and service capabilities.

Preloaded control and scheduling Web pages — Preloaded control pages provide basic native functionality. The IPL M PDP-ES is fully compatible with GlobalViewer for extended remote management capabilities.

Bidirectional serial port with pass-through — The IPL M PDP-ES features one 9-pin D-sub serial port that will pass through standard Pioneer commands.

Supports industry standard Ethernet protocols — All IP Link products use industry standard Ethernet communication protocols, including ARP, DHCP, ICMP, UDP/IP, TCP/IP, Telnet, HTTP, and SMTP.

Integral high performance Web server — The IPL M PDP-ES features an integral Web server with memory available for storing the device drivers, GlobalViewer, and custom user web pages.

Simultaneous multi-user support — Each IP Link device supports multiple concurrent users, improving system throughput.

Multiple levels of access with password protection — User access level authorizes limited entry to only pre-designated functions, while administrator access level permits full access to advanced settings.

Free Global Configurator, easy-to-use configuration utility — Global Configurator software, a free Windows® based configuration utility, makes product setup simple and intuitive – no programming knowledge is required.

Free GlobalViewer®, Web-based AV resource management application — When used with GlobalViewer, IP Link interfaces provide a powerful, flexible way to manage, monitor, and control both Extron and third-party equipment like projectors, plasmas, monitors, VCRs, DVD players, and other devices using a standard TCP/IP network.

Internal real-time clock — Programmable operating alerts, sequencing, and automatic monitoring, together with the real-time clock and calendar, allow IP Link interfaces to routinely check configured devices.
