The Extron DTP3 R 201 is a long distance, digital twisted pair receiver that works with Extron DTP3‑enabled products to extend HDMI, audio, and bidirectional RS‑232 signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable. It supports video resolutions up to 4K/60 at 4:4:4 color sampling and complies with HDCP 2.3. For maximum image quality and minimal latency, all supported video resolutions are transported without compression. The receiver features stereo audio de-embedding for convenient installation in professional environments. The compact enclosure size and flexible remote power capability make the DTP3 R 201 ideal for discreet placement behind displays, within equipment racks, or wherever needed to meet application requirements.

The DTP3 R 201 enables the reliable, long distance transmission of HDMI 2.0b signals, supporting data rates up to 18 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up to 12‑bit, 3D, and embedded HD lossless audio formats. In addition, DDC communication of EDID and HDCP is continuously maintained between a source and display, ensuring direct compatibility and optimal signal transmission between devices.

Convenient Control and Power

Other convenient, integrator-friendly features designed into the DTP3 R 201 help simplify installation. When HDCP-encrypted content is transmitted to a non-HDCP compliant display, a full screen green signal is sent to the display for immediate visual confirmation that protected content cannot be viewed on that display. Also, the receiver supports transmission of bidirectional RS‑232 from a control system for AV device control.

For added convenience, a USB-C configuration port on the front panel offers ready access to information and easy updating of firmware. Configuration of the DTP3 R 201 is made simple with Extron’s PCS - Product Configuration Software and its user-friendly GUI that is very easy to navigate. This software application allows for expedited setup, commissioning, real-time operation and monitoring.

The DTP3 R 201 can be remotely powered over the same shielded twisted pair cable by a DTP3-enabled product. In addition, it can be configured to provide power to a connected transmitter, allowing both devices to share one power supply.

To support displays and other output devices at remote locations, the receiver can be integrated with other DTP3-enabled products. It is housed in a 1" (2.5 cm) high, quarter rack width metal enclosure. The low-profile design allows for discreet placement in lecterns and behind flat-panel displays.

To ensure optimal performance with DTP3 systems, Extron recommends XTP DTP 22 cables and accessories. These 22-gauge shielded twisted pair cables, shielded RJ‑45 plugs, jacks, and couplers have been engineered for optimum performance for DTP3 products running at 18 Gbps. Extron XTP DTP 22 cable bandwidth is verified to 500 MHz and utilizes a S/FTP design with four shielded 22 AWG twisted pair conductors inside an overall braided shield for superior performance and noise immunity.
