The Extron CrossPoint 450 Plus 3264 Series is designed to route ultra-wideband RGBHV and stereo audio signals. Both CrossPoint® 32x64 matrix switchers feature 450 MHz (-3 dB) bandwidth, fully loaded, and are also fully compatible with RGBS, RGsB, HDTV, component video, S-video, and composite video signals.

Housed in rack-mountable, 19-inch wide enclosures, CrossPoint 450 Plus Series matrix switchers come standard with RS-232 and RS-422 serial control capability. The unique advantage of serial control is Extron's SIS™ - Simple Instruction Set. SIS simplifies serial control by utilizing a limited set of easy to read, ASCII command codes.

The CrossPoint 450 Plus Series also features three proprietary Extron technologies: ADSP™ - Advanced Digital Sync Processing, Ethernet Control, and DSVP™ - Digital Sync Validation Processing.

ADSP Technology

Extron's ADSP technology is an all-digital process that corrects and restores the sync signal as it passes through the switcher. First, ADSP restores sync to TTL levels, 5.0 V p-p, ensuring that the projector or monitor accurately locks to sync and displays a stable image. Second, ADSP corrects the signal waveform to create sharp rising and falling edges, ensuring a more stable and reliable image in systems with different signal sources or cable lengths. Whether signal losses and distortion are caused by long cable runs, variations in display graphic card outputs, or low sync levels from many laptop computers, ADSP significantly reduces sync related problems, improving signal compatibility with many digital display devices.

Ethernet Control

TheThe CrossPoint 450 Plus Series is equipped with an integrated, high performance Web server that provides technical support personnel with the ability to receive service and failure messages through an e-mail-enabled cell phone, PDA, pager, or e-mail account. Utilizing Ethernet control, the help desk can also view embedded Web pages to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot the switcher for the following:

AV Resource Management

  • Remotely select input and output ties for audio only, video only, or audio and video
  • Name and select global I/O presets
  • Set audio input and output volume levels
  • Set RGB delay time for glitch-free transitions
  • Upload firmware updates via the Internet

Operating Status and Diagnostics

  • Monitor primary and redundant power supply voltages
  • Monitor operating temperature
  • Recall firmware revision and other data for improved Help Desk support
  • Provides immediate notification via e-mail for loss of input signal, power supply failure, and other critical service information

DSVP

  • Verifies active sources by polling inputs for horizontal and vertical sync rate information
