Steve Somers to teach 'Video Calibration' at NSCA
Anaheim, California (March 30, 1998) - Extron Electronics is pleased to announce that Steve Somers, VP Engineering, will teach "Video Calibration: How to Make Better Pictures" at the NSCA (National Systems Contractors Association) EXPO '98. The Video Calibration course will be held one day only on April 28, 1998 from 8:00am to 12:00pm as part of the NSCA Technical Track program. The Technical Track program is a series of seminars geared towards audio and video technologies, system design and how-to information. Video Calibration explains NTSC video and how to obtain the most from video equipment to make better images. Other issues discussed in this course will include sync signals, video formats and the importance of bandwidth when designing and selling a system. Somers, a veteran in the professional AV industry, has taught various video-related courses for ICIA (International Communications Industries Association) including Video Bandwidth, Mastering Computer-Video Interfacing and Understanding the Projection Shoot-Out. Somers is currently co-chairman of the INFOCOMM International® Projection Shoot-Out® and is involved in the technical direction of the SID's (Society for Information Display) first ever Display Technology Showcase taking place this May.
