Extron® Introduces NEW Plenum S-video Cable

Anaheim, California (March 14, 2001) - For S-video applications in plenum environments, Extron offers Plenum S-video Cable in pre-cut lengths of 6 feet (1.8 m), 12 feet (3.7 m), 20 feet (6.1 m), 30 feet (9.1 m), 50 feet (15.2 m), 75 feet (22.9 m), and 100 feet (30.5 m). This cable passes Luminance (Y) and Chrominance (C) video signals on mini high resolution, coaxial cables. The Plenum S-video Cable is comprised of two, 26 AWG, 75 ohm conductors, each individually shielded and encased in a sheath to reduce interference. The plenum-rated jacket is constructed with special fire resistant agents for use in applications where National Electric Code (CL2P) cable must be installed. Plenum cable can be run through open air spaces, eliminating the need for conduit and thereby reducing installation costs. The SuperFlex jacket material provides enhanced flexibility for maneuvering through tight spots, as well as effortless rolling or unrolling. This cable has an attenuation measurement of -5.8dB/100ft @ 100 MHz, and bulk lengths of 250 feet (76.2 m), 500 feet (152.4 m), and 1,000 feet (304.8 m) are available as well.
