Extron Launches MVX Series VGA Matrix Switchers
Anaheim, California (June 9, 2004) - Extron Electronics introduces the
MVX Series, a new family of compact, high performance VGA matrix switchers with stereo audio. These products are ideal for classrooms, training facilities and other applications that require an economical solution for routing high resolution computer-video and stereo audio. Because all of the computer-video connections are on compact 15-pin HD connectors, installations are faster and easier through the use of pre-terminated cable assemblies, such as Extron VGA with Audio Cables.
The MVX Series matrix switchers are offered in 4x4, 4x8, 8x4, and 8x8 I/O sizes. Each model in the series provides 300 MHz (-3 dB) RGB video bandwidth, fully loaded, and is available with stereo audio. They include 3.5 mm stereo mini jack inputs for computer audio, and captive screw connector outputs, which can be configured for either balanced or unbalanced signals. "These high-bandwidth VGA matrix switchers are housed in compact, 1U high enclosures, making the MVX Series a perfect solution for computer-video systems in small-scale environments," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. In addition, the MVX Series matrix switchers feature Triple Action Switching, which mutes the RGB signal while the sync signal is switched for clean transitions. A QuickSwitch Front Panel Controller (QS-FPC™) allows for touch-of-a-button input and output selection directly from the front panel. Along with RS-232 control capability, control options include the Extron MCP 1000 control panel or MKP 1000 control keypad. An optional IR remote control is also available. List prices for the MVX Series models range from $995.00 to $2,495.00. For availability, contact an Extron Customer Support Representative at 800.633.9876.
