Extron Announces the MVC 121 Microphone and Line Level Mixer with Volume Control

Anaheim, California (January 7, 2004) – Extron Electronics is pleased to present the MVC 121, an economical, three input microphone and line level mixer with volume control. Equipped with RS-232 and contact closure control capability, the MVC 121 can be easily integrated into existing AV systems where simple and centralized audio control is needed, including such environments as small classrooms or meeting rooms. The MVC 121 is designed for intuitive operation with two microphone/line level inputs and a third line level stereo input, each with its own volume control. The mixer also provides switchable 48V microphone phantom power to enable the use of condenser microphones. One set of four LEDs is provided to display volume levels. Adjustments are made in 0.5dB increments to ensure smooth transitions when volume levels are raised or lowered. "The MVC 121 includes features and functions specifically designed for the integration market," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "We want to make it as easy to integrate our audio products into systems as it is to integrate our video products." There are two line level audio outputs on the MVC 121—one fixed and one variable. The fixed output is optimized for recording devices, assisted listening systems, or other peripherals that require a fixed output level. The variable output is designed to drive a power amplifier. All inputs and outputs of the MVC 121 are on captive screw connectors to support balanced/unbalanced audio signals. Part of the VersaTools® line of small integrator-friendly products, the MVC 121 is housed in a quarter rack width metal enclosure. Flexible mounting options enable the MVC 121 to be mounted under a desk, on a projector mounting bracket, or in a rack. The MVC 121 is available now and lists for $325.00 (US Dollars).
