Extron Adds To Family of Twisted Pair Products With High Resolution Transmitters And Receivers
Anaheim, California (June 9, 2004) - Extron Electronics announces the release of the Extron MTP 15HD A Series of high resolution computer-video and audio transmitters and receivers, further expanding its mini twisted pair series of high performance twisted pair system solutions.
The
MTP T 15HD A transmitter accepts computer video and audio inputs and sends RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB, HDTV, or other high resolution video and summed mono (L+R) audio signals to a compatible twisted pair receiver. The transmitter also features a local monitor output for systems that require a local display. The
MTP R 15HD A and
MTP RL 15HD A receivers feature separate continuously variable level and peaking adjustments that enable users to compensate for signal degradation associated with long cable runs. The MTP RL 15HD A receiver features an additional buffered female RJ-45 output that enables multiple MTP RL 15HD A receivers to be connected in series, reducing the number of parallel cable runs required in large systems. "The MTP 15HD A Series transmitters and receivers represent a new price/performance standard for twisted pair technology," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. The MTP 15HD A Series can be used with any Category 5, 5e, or 6 twisted pair cable, or with Extron Enhanced Skew-Free™ AV UTP cable (patent pending) for cable runs of up to 600 feet (185 meters) with XGA signals, and 450 feet (135 meters) with UXGA signals. The list price for the MTP T 15HD A is $390.00, list price for the MTP R 15HD A is $410.00, and the list price for the MTP RL 15HD A is $590.00. All three models are available now.
