Extron Electronics Debuts New Motorized Hideaway Surface Access Enclosure

Anaheim, California (June 9, 2004) – Extron Electronics announces the introduction of the new HSA 822M, a motorized Hideaway Surface Access enclosure for tabletop access to AV connectors and controls. The HSA 822M is an elegant, double sided enclosure that rises smoothly out of the table to reveal power, data, and other popular AV interface connections. When closed, the lid of the HSA 822M fits flush with the tabletop, storing connectors out of sight. "The new enclosure is ideal for high profile executive boardrooms and conference rooms," says Lee Dodson, Vice President of Marketing for Extron. "The quiet operation of the new HSA 822M lends itself to environments in which elegant and automated systems are important factors." The HSA 822M can be raised and lowered via contact closure or by pressing on the top surface, and includes several safety features to eliminate any potential injury to users or damage to cable connectors. Even with the motorized mechanism, the HSA 822M features all of the same connectivity options of the standard HSA 822, in the same space-efficient footprint. The HSA 822M is available in black anodized or brushed aluminum finish. Polished aluminum and brushed brass finishes are also available by special order. The HSA 822M features a square bezel that can be easily installed utilizing the free Extron routing guide provided on request. International models will be available with AC power outlets that accept UK, Israel, Central Europe, France, Australia, India, or Switzerland power connectors.
