New Extron Hideaway® Surface Access Enclosures Available with Central Europe, UK, and Swiss Power Outlets

Anaheim, California (2 February 2004) - Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce three new models of its popular Hideaway® Surface Access (HSA) products featuring Central Europe, UK, or Swiss AC power outlets.

The HSA 222S EU, HSA 222S UK, and HSA 222S Swiss are elegant metal enclosures that provide easy tabletop access to data and power connections. All models offer a fixed configuration of two RJ-45 (CAT 6) network/data/phone connectors, and two unswitched AC outlets. "These new HSA enclosures look great in any contemporary installation," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron, "and they represent our continued commitment to the European market." Once installed in a tabletop, the HSA 222S fits nearly flush with the surface, storing power and network connectors out of sight. To access the connectors, users press down on the top of the enclosure, releasing a mechanical latch. The HSA pivots open, presenting the connectors at an ergonomic 49° angle to the tabletop. The Hideaway HSA 222S enclosures ship in either black anodized or brushed aluminum finish. Polished aluminum and brushed brass models are also available by special order. All versions of the HSA 222S are available in black for €645,00 list price, or in brushed aluminum for €765,00 list price. All models will be available in March 2004.
