Extron Presents "HDXP Plus" Multi-Rate Serial Digital Matrix Switchers

Anaheim, California (November 28, 2005) - Extron Electronics announces the HDXP Plus Series, a new line of multi-rate serial digital matrix switchers. Available in 32x16 and 32x32 I/O sizes, the HDXP Plus 3216 and HDXP Plus 3232 are capable of routing all SMPTE and ITU standard serial digital video signals, including SMPTE 259M and SMPTE 344M component SDI up to 540 Mbps, SMPTE 292M single-link HD-SDI up to 1.485 Gbps, and SMPTE 372M dual-link HD-SDI up to 2.97 Gbps.

The HDXP Plus 3232 and HDXP Plus 3216 are equipped with a host of features including full input equalization and output reclocking, input preview mode with a dedicated output, and I/O grouping. The HDXP Plus 3232 also has two reference inputs that accept bi-level and tri-level sync for genlocked applications. The HDXP Plus Series can be controlled via RS-232 or Extron's IP Link® Ethernet control. To ensure trouble-free, continuous operations, Extron's DSVP - Digital Sync Validation Processing provides verification of both input data rates and reclocked output data rates, through RS-232 and IP Link.
