Extron adds New 16x16 Size to HDXP Plus Series of Multi-Rate Serial Digital Matrix Switchers
Anaheim, California (June 7, 2006) - Extron Electronics announces the addition of the
HDXP Plus 1616 to its series of multi-rate serial digital matrix switchers. The Series now includes three models, available in
32x32,
32x16, and
16x16 I/O sizes. All models are capable of routing all SMPTE and ITU standard serial digital video signals up to 2.97 Gbps, including dual-link HD-SDI serial digital video signals and high resolution signals from computer-video graphics cards equipped with HD-SDI outputs. It is ideal for routing HDTV and other high resolution digital video sources for digital cinema projection, biomedical imaging, satellite mapping and visualization, rental and staging environments, and other applications.

The HDXP Plus Series matrix switchers are equipped with Extron's popular enhanced QuickSwitch Front Panel Controller, as well as RS-232 Serial and IP Link® Ethernet control ports. The series also features DSVP™ - Digital Sync Validation Processing, which verifies both input data rates and reclocked output data rates, through RS-232 or
