Anaheim, California (July 7, 2020) - When administrators were planning for the new Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center, they specified that the facility must include high performance AV systems with intuitive control. Located on the outskirts of Pittsboro, North Carolina, it is one of the county's largest flexible conference venues, featuring divisible spaces with movable airwalls and systems that automatically adjust system operations to match room configurations. Integrator Strategic Connections of Raleigh, North Carolina, selected the Extron XTP II CrossPoint 3200 32x32 matrix switcher for its modularity, versatility, and reliability, and used Global Scripter to program the Extron Pro Series control system. At the press of a button, the system detects the position of each airwall, identifies and assigns sources and displays available by space, and adjusts AV capabilities to predetermined configurations.
“We love using Extron products,” says Chris Ferris, Design Engineer at Strategic Connections Inc. “The XTP matrix switcher is rock solid and was easy to set up and configure. Also, the TouchLink Pro touchpanels and Global Scripter made automating system control for Chatham County a straightforward process.”
The configurable spaces are in regular use for meetings, receptions, and exhibitions of varying sizes. The sophisticated installation met all requirements using Extron XTP signal routing and TouchLink Pro with IP Link processors for control. County officials are quite pleased with the success of the new conference center and its flexible, high performance AV signal distribution system.
